• Christmastime is here!

I can’t believe it’s already Christmas! It is so full of magic I could just burst! Living in Florida with only mild changes in the weather, it’s so important to feel the season inside your home through your decor— otherwise, let’s face it, it wouldn’t be quite so magical. I think that’s why I feel so dedicated to making Christmas magic at home! I want my kids to experience the wonder as much as possible.

I used to be adamant about having a real tree— but I am definitely one of “those” people that wants to decorate at midnight on November 1st. And tree lots simply aren’t ready until the week of Thanksgiving! And also, wow, those prices were skyrocketing. Let me tell you, I am overjoyed that I made the switch last year to an artificial tree. I purchased it from Home Depot. It is *pre-lit* (which is LUXURY I mean I had no idea how amazing it would be not to spend hours stringing lights on a tree). I can set the tree up as soon as I’m ready, and it is absolutely stunning! And I can turn it on with a remote. I am so happy with it!

My pup caught me taking her picture!

I see a lot of posts from people that like to use the *viral* artificial garlands. But actually, I love to order live white pine and cedar garland from Home Depot (shown on the doorframe above). It arrives well-packaged and it adds the most special touch to each of our doorways and windows! It came in the mail the second week of November. So I wasn’t too anxious. Just anxious excited, definitely.

Also shown above, two larger purchases we made this year make a big impact in our family room. The TCL NXTVISION Smart Frame TV really sets the tone for the whole room. I especially love channeling the Christmas feeling by displaying art with snow, because, well, it’s Florida outside. The other buy is the Modern Ember Patton white electric fireplace. We purchased ours from Lowe’s. I can’t wait to have a fireplace to hang our Christmas stockings from this year!

My Grandma Jan put together this puzzle and gave it to me as a gift because it reminded her of a painting I loved that she had. As much as I love to buy special Christmas items, it’s always the personal touches that make home.
All my babies when they were little. 🥲

I wanted to bring the Christmas feeling into our bedrooms as well using lights, trees, and Christmas bedding too!

    My daughter Juliet’s room.
My boys’ Hudson and Wade’s room.

We’ve been enjoying warm cookies & milk every night and watching lots of Christmas movies. I hope this post inspires you to get snuggly and do the same. Merry Christmas!
